Warranty

IDR Outdoor products, (except for cushions, covers and fabrics & slings) are warrantied for a period of three years against any manufacturing defect that affects their suitability for use. The warranty is non-transferable and is applicable to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase will be required. This warranty applies to normal conditions of use and maintenance. This warranty does not apply to damage or imperfections resulting from the passage of time or normal wear and tear. The product must not have been misused, or handled carelessly, nor been damaged, neglected, or used in abnormal conditions. Proper maintenance, including routine cleaning, replacement of worn glides, lubrication of mechanical parts, tightening of screws, and removal of products in high winds or severe climates is the sole responsibility of the owner/user and is required to keep this warranty in effect. The warranty will only be valid if proper maintenance and cleaning have been carried out in accordance with IDR Outdoor Cleaning and Care instructions. Damage such as dents, scratches, marks and tears to fabrics or fibers that have happened during normal use are not covered by this warranty. Small cracks, which may appear in the end grain of teak when exposed to the elements, and any change of appearance due to usual weathering are considered entirely natural for teak outdoor furniture and are not covered by this warranty. Circumstances not covered by this warranty include, but are not limited to, the fading or change in shade of colors, changes in wood texture, scratches resulting from use, etc. For pavilions and cabanas, IDR Outdoor does NOT warranty the product if it is not properly anchored to the floor. Anchoring is the responsibility of the user, not IDR Outdoor. IDR Outdoor is not responsible for the assembly of any of its products. During the winter off season, all furniture should be stored indoors in an upright position to allow for proper water drainage. Defects that develop due to extreme climate conditions are not covered by this warranty. Cushions, covers and fabrics & slings are warrantied for a period of 1 year for materials & workmanship issues. In case of a warranty issue, contact our offices directly. If the product is checked and is found to be flawed due purely to manufacturing faults, IDR Outdoor will decide whether the product should be repaired or replaced.

Cleaning & Care Instructions

General

For appropriate cleaning, water and pH-neutral soap should be used (no power washers or water outside the temperature range of 60-100 °F). In the case of any other cleaning product or cleaning system being used, the product will not be covered by IDR Outdoor warranty.

Aluminum – Powder Coat & Faux Wood Finishes

Recommended cleaning interval every 2 weeks to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

Clean with water and pH-neutral soap should be used, only non-abrasive cleaners. No scrub pad nor pressure cleaner should be used. To help prevent fading due to high UV exposure, IDR Outdoor suggests the use of 303 Products Aerospace Protectant – UV Protection to be applied after each cleaning.

316 Stainless Steel

Recommended cleaning interval every 6 months to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

The best thing to do for stainless steel is to pay attention to it. Depending on your environment, the furniture might need more attention than other environments. Keeping an eye on the health of the furniture and doing regular checkups and maintenance is essential to have your stainless-steel furniture looking as new as the first day you bought it! Regular maintenance and cleaning of all types of stainless steel is required to keep these attractive attributes. Stainless steel must be kept clean for a long material life. Dirty, smoggy, or industrial environments will require more frequent cleaning programs, as will high humidity marine environments. Often, a simple wipe down with a microfiber cloth will remove the slight cloudiness that forms when some oxidation is forming on electro-polished 316 stainless. The softness of the cloth and its design will remove the slight oxidation without the need for chemical or mechanical cleaners. Strong bleaches and chloride-based cleaners should not be used on stainless steel. To keep the original appearance stainless steel must be cleaned when it looks dirty.

Teak

Recommended cleaning interval every 6 months to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

Teak is easy to clean. You can do so using a brush and mild dish soap. You can also add a splash of diluted white vinegar to take care of the stubborn grime. As you clean the furniture, make sure to use a soft cloth or a soft plastic brush. Always scrub with the grain for best results. After you’re done scrubbing, you can wipe the soap residue off with a clean cloth or hose down the furniture. Just don’t use pressure washing tools as the heat from the friction of the water hitting the furniture may damage and stain the teak.
Teak will naturally patina grey over time without regular professional maintenance. IDR Outdoor advises an annual teak cleaning service contract with a local technician to preserve to golden beauty of your teak products.

Solution Dyed Acrylic Fabrics

Recommended cleaning interval every 4 weeks to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

Acrylic fabrics should be cleaned regularly to keep dirt and food particles from accumulating and becoming embedded in the fabric. This practice will eliminate the need for more frequent, vigorous cleanings. Bring your cushions indoors if you know of inclement weather approaching. Outdoor fabrics are weather-resistant; however, they are not impervious to weather extremes or lack of maintenance. If cushions become saturated with water, squeeze excess water out of the cushions, then set them on their side to air dry in a well-ventilated, clean, dry area. Drying times will vary, but may be accelerated if cushions are allowed to stand on edge in direct sunlight. – Vacuum to remove loose dirt. – Prepare a cleaning solution of: – 2 ounces (1/4 cup) dishwashing liquid or Feron’s 1 For All Cleaner per gallon – 8 cups of lukewarm water (less than 100°F/38°C). – Use a sponge to clean. – Allow cleaning solution to soak into fabric. – Rinse thoroughly with clean water. – Allow fabric to air dry.

HDPE Wicker & Sling

Recommended cleaning interval every 2 weeks to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

We recommend that woven furniture & sling is regularly cleaned using a solution of 1:16 mild detergent to lukewarm water (less than 100°F). Thoroughly soak the wicker/sling with the cleaning solution and gently agitate with a soft bristle brush to remove any ingrained dirt. Once suitably cleaned, wash away the cleaning solution using cold water. A pressure hose on a low setting is acceptable to use on woven furniture, but avoid any teak components, as the high pressure can erode the surface of the timber. It is important to remove all traces of foam from the wicker, as any left-over foam will leave a residue in the gaps in-between the weave which can then attract dirt. Dry any splashes on metal or teak frames to avoid water stains. This is easiest to do during cool, cloudy days or when the sun is low such as early in the day or around dusk so the high heat of the sun will not dry the soapy water before you can rinse it off.

Marine Grade Rope

Recommended cleaning interval every 2 weeks to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

For proper cleaning of the rope, use a dampened cloth in a solution of warm water and mild soap. Use that to clean the rope and then rinse with another damp cloth with water only. Allow to air dry. If the stain is deep or dirt persists, rewet the rope with soap and water and rub with a soft plastic bristle brush. Rinse and let dry. Do not use water pressure cleaners or harsh chemicals (bleach, ammonia, … ) that can affect the fibers that make up the rope.

Quartz Tabletops

Quartz cannot be installed in direct sunlight, doing so will void any warranty. Quartz is maintenance free and requires no sealing or polishing. Simply wipe the surface with a soft cloth and warm water, and mild soap if desired, to keep your Quartz spotless. Never use bleach and abrasive powders or scrubs like Comet, Soft Scrub or S.O.S. pads. In addition, never apply any sealers, penetrants, or topical treatments to Quartz. Such products will cause the surface to appear dull or inconsistent. Must be wiped down after every use to prevent staining from certain beverages and foods.

Sintered Stone Tabletops

Sintered stone is highly durable, weatherproof and suitable for outdoor applications. Impervious to heat and cold, and will not wear from contact with moisture. Stain resistant and do not accumulate spots from chemicals and other products coming in contact with it. A non-porous nature makes sintered stone surfaces easy to maintain and keep clean. Grease and dirt can be easily removed with dish washing detergent or soap and hot water for cleaning. Continuous use of soap can cause soap residue on the surface. Spills and dirt from sintered countertops are best cleaned up simply with hot water. Use soap & thorough scrubbing for stubborn stains.

HPL Tabletops

Recommended cleaning interval every 2 weeks to maintain furniture and comply with warranty.

Clean with water and pH-neutral soap should be used, only non-abrasive cleaners. No scrub pad nor pressure cleaner should be used. To help prevent fading due to high UV exposure, IDR Outdoor suggests the use of 303 Products Aerospace Protectant – UV Protection to be applied after each cleaning.
